Moth Trapping Workshop

Wednesday 11th Aug 2021

What a great morning we had yesterday at our moth trapping event. Over 650 moths of around 30 different species between the two traps including a rather rare Least Yellow Underwing and a Blood Vein (pictured).

Thanks to everyone who came along and got involved and to Paul Harvey from Shetland Amenity Trust and local enthusiast Rob Fray for guiding us through the fascinating world or moths.

Mousa RSPB Nature Reserve Guided Walk

Fri 23rd July 2021

We were lucky with the weather for our trip to Mousa it was great to see so many people out and about exploring the island.

Kevin Kelly, RSPB Site Manager, led us on the circular walk round the reserve and showed us lots of great wildlife, we even got to hear the storm petrels in their nests in the walls.
